House Mouse

The most common rodent around, the house mouse is a nocturnal animal that only needs a space ¼ of an inch wide to sneak into your home. In fact, this crafty little creature has been known to scurry in beneath a closed door!

He’s an excellent athlete, too. The house mouse is great at running, jumping and even swimming. All that exercise must make him hungry—he eats 15 to 20 times each day!

Thought to be native to Asia, the house mouse likely spread across the globe by stowing away in grain supplies and other cargo.
