Little Black Ant

True to his name, the little black ant is really, really little with workers measuring in at only two millimeters in length. That’s not even as long as the tip of your fingernail!

But what he lacks in size, the little black ant makes up for in tenacity. He may be the hardest worker in the insect world. He’s active both day and night, often carrying food back to his nest for the rest of the colony.

All that work does have its rewards, though, as the little black ant satisfies his own sweet tooth every chance he gets with sugary treats, breads and fruit.
