Harry Watches the Saints Go Marching In
What’s the best thing about fall? No, it’s not the changing of the leaves, or even bringing my favorite jackets and sweaters out of the closet. For me, autumn means it’s time to watch some football. In particular, it’s time to watch the New Orleans Saints.
Truthfully, I wasn’t always a Saints fan. I used to cheer on the Tennessee Titans when I lived in Memphis. But since I’ve moved here, I’ve totally been rooting for my new black and gold home team. And let me tell you, it hasn’t always been easy.
The Saints have had some tough years. As it is, they’re one of five NFL teams that have NEVER made it to the Super Bowl. That made me feel bad for them. I can’t help it. I always root for the underdogs.
That’s why this year is looking so great. So far, the Saints are off to one of the best starts they’ve ever had. Some experts are predicting that this could be the year they make it all the way to the Super Bowl in Miami.
How cool is that? I wonder if I could go with them. I could just hitch a ride in quarterback Drew Brees’ duffle bag or something. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind. With me on their side, they couldn’t lose!
