Every year Memphis has a month-long festival in May to celebrate countries around the world. It’s called Memphis in May, and this year the country being honored is Tunisia. That name just rolls right off your tongue. Go ahead, you try it.
My favorite part of Memphis in May is the Barbecue Festival. Teams come from around the country to show off their meat-cooking skills. That’s great for me and my friends because we like to eat. I might even start an eating contest to flex my intestinal muscles. The roaches would be tough competition, but I know I can stomach more chow if I have a good game plan. I’ve been practicing by eating everything Woody the Termite whips up in his kitchen! Stay tuned for the results!
