Harry Still Roots for the Tigers

I love going to see the New Orleans Hornets, but I’m really more of a college basketball fan. I’ve been rooting for the University of Memphis Tigers ever since I was a little mantis. Let me tell you, right now is a pretty exciting time to be a Tigers fan!

These days, the Tigers are on a huge winning streak against Conference USA opponents. They’ve won 58 games in a row! That’s huge. If they win the Conference USA tournament, it’ll be the fourth year in a row that they win the championship. How cool would that be?

As excited as I get about my old hometown’s college team, I have to remember that I’m in Louisiana now. Woody the termite is a big Tulane fan (he loves everything based out of New Orleans) and he was pretty upset when Tulane lost a recent game to Memphis.

Since I knew he was down in the dumps after the game, I brought him a new phonebook to eat. After that, things were cool.

But since he’s not around right now, let me just say “Here’s hoping Memphis can go all the way this year!”
