Harry Smells a Rat

Have you seen anything small and furry and rat-like lately? No? Me neither. But I’m on the lookout for rodents.

You see, I have some friends that work over at Terminix, the pest control company. They tell me that this is the time of year when rats and mice try to sneak inside homes and businesses. It’s cold outside, so they look for somewhere warm to get shelter and food.

I kind of feel bad for them. But this is the Insectarium, not the Rodentarium! This is a place for insects and people. Not rats who can spread disease and bite people.

So that’s why I’m keeping my eyes peeled for rodents. I don’t really think I’ll see any, but if I do, I’ll make sure they get caught and sent away. Besides, it’s fun to pretend I’m on a hunt or a big safari.

Maybe I’ll get one of those cool outback explorer hats and a pair of binoculars, too. That would be cool. Don’t you think?
