Harry Sees The Light

Monday March 8 2010

I can't believe it. After months of cold, dreary, wet, snowy winter days, I finally saw the sun! I was walking outside of the Children's Museum of Memphis to get some fresh air, and suddenly that bright shining ball peaked out from behind the clouds. It had been so long, I almost forgot how wonderful the warmth of the sun feels against your face.

Well, I guess that means spring is here. And I think it's my favorite season. Everything is blooming and growing, and the weather is so wonderful. And actually spring is the most active time of year for many insects. Take termites, for instance. Spring is when some termites move out of the nest and start new colonies, in a process called swarming. If I owned a home, I'd be watching out for termites right about now. They can really do a lot of damage to your home's wood.

Anyway, spring is awesome. What's your favorite season?
