I’m not sure what a recession really is. But I’m pretty sure it’s a bad thing. I do know that it’s got nothing to do with the incredible King Cakes I’ve been eating since Carnival started. And you’ve heard how much I love King Cakes.

I asked a few of my friends if I should be scared of a recession. So Paw Paw showed me a Time magazine article about the economy. Guess what? Good news! Apparently the recession isn’t happening in New Orleans. Paw Paw says it’s because tourists keep coming to visit here.

Could it have something to do with me? I mean, the Insectarium is a pretty awesome tourist attraction.

I would read the rest of the article to find out more, but Woody ate most of it. Termites apparently love the taste of good news. Speaking of eating… I think I need to eat some more King Cake now.
