Harry Passes His IQ Test

Usually I’m not that great at taking tests. I study and study, but once I sit down with a #2 pencil and start filling in circles, I get too nervous. It’s like I forget everything as soon as I begin.

That’s why I was so surprised when I did pretty well on my IQ test. I scored a 136, which is officially above average. Maybe it’s because I didn’t study or anything beforehand.

I wonder if all mantids are pretty smart. Come to think of it, I’m fairly certain that’s not true. I have a cousin in Texas named Jimbo who once tried to ride a bucking bronco. He definitely wasn’t too bright.

You know who I think the smartest insects are? Cockroaches. They’ve been around for about 300 million years, so they’ve got to be really clever. Whenever I want to know something, I just ask Paw Paw the Hissing Cockroach. He knows something about everything.

It’s like talking to a real live Wikipedia. That hisses.
