Harry Loves Hornets Basketball

When it comes to NBA hoops, I have one simple rule: I always root for the insect team. That’s why I was totally psyched to sneak out of the Insectarium and catch a New Orleans Hornets game with my pal Atlas the leafcutter ant.

The game was really great. The stands were packed with fans cheering for Chris Paul, who was tearing it up on the court. Me, I’m a bigger Peja Stojakovic fan. Every time the Hornets scored, the crowd jumped to its feet, spilling drinks and popcorn everywhere.

We were having a super time until Atlas starting wigging out. Seeing all that wasted popcorn was just way too much for his ant sensibilities. He started collecting every single kernel, going on about how this popcorn could feed his colony for months.

I had to tell him to chill out. Sometimes you’ve got to quit being a forager for a few hours and just be a basketball fan, you know?

Next time I’ll invite Luckie the ladybug, having fun comes a little more naturally to her than poor Atlas.
