Harry Loves a Holiday Party
I’ve read about the Grinch and Ebenezer Scrooge. But I’ve never understood how anybody couldn’t love the holidays.
I mean, even if you didn’t love the songs or the presents, how could you not love the food? Or the holiday parties?
Just the other night we had a humdinger of a holiday party here at the Insectarium. It was off the chain, if you know what I’m saying. Everybody was there. Miley the Monarch Butterfly and Luckie the Ladybug planned the whole event. Woody the Termite cooked some delicious holiday food (including cellulose casserole, of course!). Atlas the Leafcutter Ant and I helped set up the decorative lights and moved the furniture.
Skimmer the Dragonfly was our DJ, and she spun some awesome tunes. Speedy the Millipede took pictures. Even Paw Paw the Hissing Cockroach got into the spirit when he read a spirited, hissy version of “’Twas The Night Before Christmas.”
That’s what I love best about the holidays. It’s not the presents or even the food—it’s spending time with the ones you care about the most.
And I love the food too. Happy holidays, everybody!
