Harry is Fortified

"Commander Esteban!"

"Yes, Lieutenant Harry?"

"Our fort’s perimeter is now secure from all invaders. Permission to blog, sir?"

"Granted, señor —er— Lieutenant Harry."

Hear that? That’s me and Esteban the Tarantula making sure our new fort is safe from an invading army led by Woody the Termite. What makes this an especially perilous siege is the fact that our fort is built from Lincoln Logs. And termites love cellulose products like Lincoln Logs and cardboard. So we have to man our water-gun turrets to keep them from eating the whole place.

You guys ever play with Lincoln Logs? I think they’re awesome, because anything I build is actually big enough for me to live in. But I bet they’re pretty fun for people your size, too. I mean, they have to be fun or they wouldn’t have been around since 1916!

Did you know Lincoln Logs were actually invented by the son of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright? I guess that means that building cool stuff runs in their family. I wonder if I have any architects in my family? I should ask —

"Lieutenant Harry! We are under attack, señor! Man your battlestation, soldier!"

Uh-oh. Looks like Woody’s brigade is back. I gotta run y’all. This fort is too cool to let it get eaten.
