Harry Is a Wedding Crasher
Well, I didn’t really crash a wedding. There was one right here at the Insectarium. Two of Lucky’s ladybug pals tied the knot here in a lovely ceremony last Saturday.
Usually I don’t like having to dress up in a suit, but I really had a blast. The wedding itself didn’t take very long. After that, they had a big reception and it was seriously fun. Most of my insect friends showed up and more importantly, there was a TON of delicious food. I ate so much I had to unbutton my suit jacket and loosen my belt!
Then different insects stood up and gave speeches to toast the newly married couple. I have to admit I got a little teary-eyed. I just think that it’s so beautiful when two insects out of the quintillion different living insects on earth discover love together.
I know, I know, I’m actually a bit of a romantic mantis. Don’t tell anyone.
After that, Paw Paw the hissing cockroach offered to sing a song. Thankfully, the wedding already had a really good DJ who played some New Orleans jazz music instead, which was a good idea.
I’ve heard Paw Paw sing before. His voice makes people cry too. But not in a romantic way.
