Harry is a Mantis’ Uncle

I got some big news today. You’d never know it by looking at me, but I’m an uncle! Can you believe it?

I was just relaxing around the Insectarium yesterday and I got a phone call out of nowhere. Guess who it was? It was my sister, Haley! Apparently she and her husband had been watching her egg for about 4 weeks when it finally hatched. Now they have an adorable baby mantis girl.

They named her Annie and from what I’ve heard she’s really sweet. They even sent me a picture message. I think she’s adorable. And she might have my antennae.

I can’t wait until I get chance to go home and visit Memphis again. I hope my niece will like me. I want to be the cool uncle. You know, the uncle that always makes her laugh and smile.

That’s a lot of pressure! Maybe I can take Annie out for pancakes and fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches. That way she’d always remember her awesome Uncle Harry.
