Harry Has a Serious Case of March Madness

I’ve already let everyone know about my love for the University of Memphis Tigers. Since my favorite team is doing so well this year, I’m getting all my friends at the Insectarium involved in the upcoming NCAA tournament.

Everyone here is filling out a tournament bracket, so we can have a pool. A bracket is a big chart that shows all of the teams competing in the NCAA tournament. To fill one out, all you have to do is guess who is going to win each game. Then guess who would win the next game, and so on, until you have the winning team.

In our bracket pool, everyone is betting their favorite snack that their team is going to win. Whoever wins gets all the snacks. And everyone has their own wacky theory why their team will be the champions.

Of course, I picked that the Memphis Tigers would win. And since Woody’s such a fan of everything Louisiana, he’s rooting for LSU. Atlas picked North Dakota State because they have the strongest mascot, the Bison. Miley the monarch butterfly picked the Morgan State Bears because she heard they could be this year’s Cinderella team—and she loves a good fairy tale.

I’m looking forward to seeing how everyone does. But I’m still hoping my Memphis Tigers can win the whole thing!
