Harry Goes in Search Of

Tuesday July 28 2009

You think insects are interesting? Weirdly enough, we think you mammals are pretty interesting too. I thought I knew about every kind of non-insect, but this weekend I watched a weird old show called "In Search Of."

Every week they would go "in search of" a different legendary creature that might or might not really exist. How cool is that? Even cooler, it was hosted by Mr. Spock himself, Leonard Nimoy!

Now I’m totally fascinated by the idea of unicorns, chupacabra, mermaids, Big Foot and the Loch Ness Monster. If I could meet any of them, I’d probably pick the Loch Ness Monster.

She’s often referred to as "Nessie" and just seems like she’d be friendlier than a mean old hairy Big Foot. Even though we’re vastly different in size, we’re both green. I think we’d get along just fine.

I wonder if I can talk anyone from the Insectarium into traveling over to Scotland to help me look for a mythological monster.

Probably not. Maybe I’ll just go find an alligator at the zoo and call her Nessie.
