Harry Goes Green

 

 

 

It’s been super-quiet at the Insectarium today. We haven’t had as many visitors as we normally do; it seems everybody is outside today because it’s Earth Day. My tarantula friend Esteban says Earth Day helps encourage people to "go green."

But I’m already green!

Turns out that’s not really what Esteban was talking about. When he says "go green" he means we should all do our part to help clean up the planet and improve the environment.

I’m a little guy so I wasn’t sure how I could make a difference. Esteban says just picking up trash, recycling soda cans and turning off my computer when I’m done blogging—will help the planet.

I was so psyched I rounded up my friends so we could all "go green" and plant a tree (trees keep the air clean and stop soil from eroding). We got outside and realized Woody the termite had beaten us to it. He said he was celebrating Earth Day. I think maybe he just wanted a snack.
