Harry Gets Some New Shades

It’s important to stay cool in the summer—especially here in New Orleans, where it’s over 90 degrees everyday.

But it’s almost as important to look cool in the summer. I know that might seem silly, but a fashion-conscious mantid has to maintain a certain amount of style. It’s also really important to protect my excellent mantis-vision from harmful UV rays.

That’s why I just got a new pair of sunglasses. It took me forever to pick out the right style. I tried on big bug-eyed glasses, but they were so heavy they almost made me fall over. Then I considered getting the "Top Gun" look with some aviator shades. But they looked too uptight for me. I even tried on some wild shades that had an MP3 player in them, but they really weren’t designed to fit mantis ears.

Ultimately I decided on some classic 60s wayfarer sunglasses. They have just the right amount of retro cool and modern smooth to complete my summer look. And I’ve noticed they’re totally making a comeback. I got some help from Cuddles the Scorpion. He really knows his stuff when it comes to sunglasses.

Cuddles gave me this advice, "When buying sunglasses, make sure you look as cool as that guy from ‘CSI: Miami.’"
