Harry Gets Into the Wii

Thursday June 11 2009

I’ve always had a tough time playing video games. Most of the time, I can’t work the controls because they’re as big as I am. It’s just too complicated for me to move all those sticks and buttons.

That was before I got a chance to play the Nintendo Wii. It’s easy for me to move the controller around, because it’s just like a stick that you shake. I could do that all day long.

In fact, just the other day, I did play Wii all day long with my friend Skimmer the dragonfly. Man, we had some serious fun. Of course, she beat me at every game we played.

I think it’s because she’s got incredible vision. Dragonflies have awesome eyes that catch any tiny movement. Being a praying mantis, I’ve got really good vision too—but not nearly as elaborate as her peepers.

Even though I couldn’t beat her, we still had a great time. But I’m worn out! All that bouncing up and down really got to me. I’ve worked up quite an appetite.

I think I need some energy before I’m ready to play the Wii again. This calls for a serious stack of pancakes.
