Harry Gets an mp3 Player
I always wondered why Insectarium visitors sometimes had white wires coming out of their ears. It turns out they were all listening to mp3 players. When it comes to music, I’m pretty old school. Back home in Memphis, I mostly listened to cassette tapes or CDs. But once I saw how small and cool these mp3 players are, I had to get one.
Well, guess what? I finally got one! It’s so cool. It’s got a color screen and you just drag your hands across the screen to pick out what you want to listen to. I can’t believe how simple it is.
At first, I wasn’t sure how to put any music on it. It will hold over 10,000 songs—but even I don’t know that many songs! Luckily Miley the butterfly showed me how to hook it up to the computer. She even gave me some of her favorite songs from her Hannah Montana albums.
Honestly, Hannah Montana isn’t really my thing. I’m more of a classic Memphis music guy. So lately I’ve been grooving to some Elvis Presley, Al Green and Isaac Hayes.
Actually I’m thinking about making an all-insect themed playlist. So far all I’ve come up with is the Beatles, Adam and the Ants, Papa Roach, Iron Butterfly and the Buggles. Got any other suggestions? Maybe Sting. Or the Scorpions. Do the Bee Gees count?
