Harry Feels Naptastic
Lately I’ve been thinking that kids in pre-school have the right idea. There’s just something about the mid-afternoon that makes you want to take a nap. Not a long one, just a quick refreshing catnap for about 30 minutes or so.
So that’s what I’ve been doing lately. I’ve been so busy entertaining all the guests at the Insectarium that I started to feel really rundown and crabby. Miley the Monarch Butterfly recommended I get a little extra shut-eye. It really does the trick!
A good nap is really good for you. It makes you more alert and it reduces stress and improves cognitive functioning (that means "thinking"). So far, I can totally tell the difference.
It’s even more important for you guys to get enough sleep than it is for me. Did you know a human adult should get at least seven hours of sleep a night? Kids are supposed to get at least eight hours.
If you get any less, your brain doesn’t function as well as it should. And that just makes school lessons harder. So take it from me and take a nap when you get home from school.
As a matter of fact… YAAAAAWWWWWWNNN. I think I’m gonna take a nap right now. Just as soon as I finish updating this blog… zzzzz.
Zzzzzzzzz.
Zzzzzzzz.
