Harry Catches a Big One!

Tuesday May 3 2011

We headed out bright and early and boarded the boat. I packed us lunch (making sure to include some special organic fungus for Atlas – leafcutter ants are eco-friendly vegetarians), and we all made sure to pile on the sunscreen. The captain taught us all how to tie a hook and cast into the water. Speedy made sure to stay in the cabin. He was afraid that, since a millipede sort looks like a worm, he would be used as bait! After an hour at sea and still no fish, we were all getting a little anxious. Suddenly Skimmer shouted, "Harry's got a fish!" After nearly falling overboard, the captain helped me reel in what turned out to be the biggest catch of the day!

After nearly five hours at sea, we were all tired, ready for a nap and a little seasick. I think I've had my fair share of fishing...at least until my next visit to Tampa!
