Harry Brings in A New Year with Dick Clark

Five, Four, Three, Two, One….Happy New Year!
 

I can’t believe 2008 is over, but the ball’s been dropped in Times Square and Dick Clark has signed off from his 36th straight New Year’s special. It’s now 2009!
 

We had a huge party here in the Insectarium complete with a ball drop in the butterfly garden. Our ball wasn’t quite as fancy as the one in Times Square, but we did pretty good considering we used a left over Christmas ornament and holiday lights to rig the drop.
 

Maybe one of these days I’ll make it to Times Square for the real thing. Even better, maybe ABC will contact me about helping host Dick Clark’s special. Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Pickler were okay, but I think assignments like that should be left to multi-legged individuals like me and Speedy.
