Harry Breaks Out the Winter Clothes

Brrrr. I don’t know what the weather is like where you are, but it’s actually getting cooler down here in New Orleans. So much so that I had to start looking for some warmer clothes to wear.

One of the things I like best about autumn is that I get to start wearing long sleeves again. And coats. And scarves. I even have a really cool toboggan hat that makes me look like a professional snowboarder.

Once I realized it was time to start dressing for fall, I had to figure out where I put all my winter clothes. So I climbed into my closet and started digging around. Then I finally dragged out the box marked “HARRY’S WINTER CLOTHES.”

Slowly, I opened it up… and there was a spider inside the box!

It startled me at first, but then I remembered that spiders sometimes nest in warm places like clothes boxes or old shoes. It turns out this particular spider was really polite. His name is Patrick.

We decided he should find a new place to sleep. So I put him in one of Paw Paw the Hissing Cockroach’s old tap shoes. Hopefully Paw Paw doesn’t feel the urge to dance anytime soon.
