It’s important to stay cool in the summer—especially here in New Orleans, where it’s over 90 degrees everyday.

As you know, I haven’t flown much. In fact, I’ve barely earned my wings. Other than my trip to New York last year and the flights I’ve taken on airplanes at the Insectarium, my feet haven’t left the ground much.

Esteban, Cuddles and I are headed to Los Angeles for the Mayor’s Day of Service, and we can’t wait to get there. The event is going to be huge, so stop by and see us at City Hall between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. tomorrow.

Okay, this is an important announcement.

Even though kiwi fruits look really weird, they are delicious.

It can be tough to know what to get your dad for Father’s Day. My dad lives in Memphis, so usually I just take him out to dinner at our favorite barbecue place. But since I couldn’t make it home this year, I decided to mail him one of his favorite movies.

Usually the bugs here at the Insectarium like to keep after-hours activities kind of quiet. After performing for visitors all day, most of us like to relax, watch some TV or read a good book. Of course, every now and again, everybody wants to cut loose.

Some people don’t care much for seafood. I think those people haven’t tried Cajun shrimp, oyster po-boys, catfish or crawfish.

This weekend was awesome! We celebrated the one year anniversary of the Insectarium’s opening with a special Ant-iversary party. It was the best. 

I’ve always had a tough time playing video games. Most of the time, I can’t work the controls because they’re as big as I am. It’s just too complicated for me to move all those sticks and buttons.

I really, really, really love living here at the Audubon Insectarium. Why? Because there are so many awesome attractions. Aside from the Insectarium, there is a zoo, an aquarium and even an IMAX theater. If you think an IMAX screen looks big to you, imagine how big it looks to me!
